台北2020年7月29日 /美通社/ -- Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) 於7月27日宣佈完成對INVECAS高畫質多媒體介面(HDMI)業務的收購。INVECAS總部位於聖克拉拉，專長為提供嵌入式軟體及系統級解決方案。此次收購將為ADI帶來完整的音頻和視訊解決方案，以滿足企業和消費性電子市場日益成長之需求。該筆交易的財務條款未予披露。
ADI工業及消費性電子事業部資深副總裁John Hassett表示：「HDMI技術在各種商業、專業、消費電子和汽車視訊應用領域具有較高的需求。透過收購INVECAS的HDMI業務，ADI將能為客戶的整個生產過程提供更全面性的解決方案 -- 從晶片至認證再到最終產品。我們很高興能透過引入該團隊的專業知識進一步提升ADI之能力。」
此次收購並將提升ADI在HDMI標準機構中的地位，協助推升HDMI連接技術的未來演進，如HDMI 2.1功能組合和低功耗特性。此外，ADI並將具備認證和合規能力，以確保在客戶的整個HDMI開發週期中（從概念形成到認證和產品發表）為其提供各種支援。隨著業界不斷發展及HDMI 2.1的問世，8K和10K視訊、增強音訊回傳、可變刷新率等應用將越趨常見。此外，ADI將透過更廣泛的功能組合和更低的功耗進一步擴大產品受眾，使相關技術能獲得更廣泛採用。
INVECAS HDMI技術團隊於該領域擁有悠久的歷史，前身為1995年成立的半導體公司Silicon Image，HDMI技術即為該公司所率先創建。該團隊之管理階層於合併至ADI的影音事業部後將持續發揮關鍵作用。
